Software Engineer - Frontend [React, Next.js] (m/f/d) at MWAY:

  • As a Software Engineer, you are part of the blockchain team, which is a pioneer in proof-of-stake blockchain technology with its validator
  • Together in an agile team, you are responsible for the further development of the mobile wallet solution in the frontend to present the blockchain technology in a simple way that enables every user to take advantage of its benefits
  • You support the team at hackathons where app development is needed
  • You drive new features and contribute to the conception and selection of suitable technologies
  • You conduct code reviews of pull/merge requests to continuously improve the distribution of know-how and code quality in the team
  • You also provide impetus for optimizing the development, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) processes in order to raise the overall solution and operation to a new level in the long term
  • You extend the code with (automated) tests so that (your) “bug fixes” do not ruin the day’s work with new bugs

What should you bring to the table?

  • A degree in computer science or comparable training with relevant professional experience - also available as a career changer and self-taught developer
  • Great passion for and experience with software engineering in the frontend with React and Next.js
  • Basic knowledge of how blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum/EVM, Cosmos, Solana) and blockchain wallets work is helpful
  • Experience with Next.js app-router, server/client-side rendering, Next-API routes, hooks and state management systems such as state or redux
  • Experience in dealing with wallet providers such as viem, ethersjs or web3.js
  • Know-how and a feel for interaction design and usability for the development of intuitive mobile applications
  • Experience in the conception and connection of RESTful and/or GraphQL API
  • You enjoy working in a team and have a strong sense of responsibility
  • Quality awareness with practical experience in software testing (unit tests, integration tests, etc.)
  • Very good communication skills in English and ideally German, both written and spoken
